FPV Drone Types
I. Equipment Needed for Flight
(1) For visual flight, the following equipment is generally required for a normal takeoff:
Frame, flight controller + ESC (or AIO), motors, propellers, battery + charger, remote controller, VTX, receiver.
(2) For FPV flight, in addition to the above equipment, you will also need to purchase goggles.
(3) If return-to-home functionality is needed, an additional GPS unit must be purchased.
II. Common Ready-to-Fly Kits on the Market:
- RTF (Ready to Fly):
This means no additional purchases are necessary; you can fly right out of the box.
- BNF (Bind and Fly):
Requires binding before flying, generally needing to purchase a remote controller, goggles, and battery-related items.
- PNP (Plug and Play):
Usually requires additional purchases for a remote controller, goggles, battery-related items, and a receiver.
- Power Kit:
A power setup that generally requires extra purchases for a remote controller, goggles, battery-related items, receiver, and video transmission system.
